We're Getting Closer to our Annual Fund Goal!

 Your contributions to our PYM Annual Fund help to support the ministry and fellowship of our faith community. Our goal for this year is $535,000, and you can check our status each day via our new “Fund-O-Meter.” Please keep in mind that checks dated 6/30/09 and received before July 10, 2009 will be credited to the Annual Fund 2009.
Spread the word and watch us rise to the challenge. Together, we can do it!

PYM Says No to IRS: Supports War Tax Resister

In an inspiring example of worshipful discernment, PYM’s governing body (Interim Meeting) has decided to support Staff Member Priscilla Adams’ act of War Tax Resistance, refusing to cooperate with IRS demands to garnish her wages. ( Read More)
White House Delegation on Torture - Arthur Larrabee, PYM General Secretary

 I'd like Friends to know that last week I had the opportunity to visit the White House with a delegation of thirty religious leaders. Our purpose was to urge the president to create a commission of inquiry on U.S. sponsored torture since 9/11.
We began with a spirited rally of about 250 people in front of the White House. From the rally, we went inside to meet with White House staff in the Indian Treaty Room of the Executive Office Building. I was one of two Quakers present, and I was glad to be representing the Society of Friends. ( Read More)
